Mads is here!

Full wool Merino sheep.

We walked doggie in the woods, and we went to the place where all the sheep are, and it was just a funny moment. I held out a pice of grass and one of the sheep spotted me, and so walked slowly towards me. His fellow sheep then saw me as well, and he followed the first sheep. And then sheep number 3 and 4 also peaked up from behind the hill and they all slowly came towards us, with clear expressions saying “Eh? What’s going on? We must figure this out. This must be some kind of aliens” And they were SO sceptical, and I just stood there with my little leaf in my hand, and they came slowly towards me, stopped, turned to one another as if to say “..should we?” and then continued on. A few meters away from me they all stopped, sheep 1, sheep 2, sheep 3 and sheep 4 all on a line with one in front and the other 3 just right behind him. I had to work not to laugh and just be standing still. Eventually one came over to have my little leaf though :) It was nice going for such a long walk in the woods. The weather is kind of chilly, but not cold, and the air was really fresh. It smelled of cold and forest. It was all quiet and stuff.

Anyway, we took a couple of fun pictures. Now, it’s just from my webcam, using all those fun effects that comes on the PhotoBooth on the macbook. But we had so much fun, and there are so many crazy pictures. I hope our fun times came thru in the photos.

And we also found the video feature! Lol.

Right, well I couldn’t upload that one..

Speaking of photos, when my dad is back from work this weekend, WITH the DSLR, I am SO going to bring it with me wherever I go and take tons of pictures and really develop my photography skills. I get weekly newsletters by email from DPS, and I am going to use them. I am going to become GOOD. And I am also going to learn to edit them. If you have any tips or tricks on that, btw, please let me know. Remember that I’m a beginner though, so beginner tips would be nice.

Here is the song that we were just listening too!

Breaking Benjamin – Evil Angel

I don’t know if that worked, but yeah.

Have a nice evening!

Summer, warm weather, sun, blue sky, no clouds, tons of people on the beach, ice creams everywhere, bikinis, sunscreen, light weight summer dresses, occasional warm breeze, salty smell of sea, screams of sea gulls. Ah, it’s lovely. Except that’s not the case today. It’s rather chilly, no wind, cloudy, no people at the beach, and definitely no need for sunscreen. Even though technically it is advised to use sunscreen of at least 15 SPF all year round. Anyway, make the best of what you got, right?

Mads will be over at some point today, daddy will be home at 3pm and mom has left for her ceramics studio. I got the camera back up and running, all it needs is to be charged and it should be done in about an hour. Which means I’ll have pictures! Wait.. the Mac doesn’t have a memory card reader.. ouch.. Maybe the other computer does. ^^’ Anyway, I’ll have some pics posted – some better than the webcam pics.
My dog has found it acceptable to sleep right next to me in my bed for once! The poor thing, he itches so much all over, especially his neck and we don’t know what it is.. Mom is going to take him to the vet this afternoon I think, so hopefully they can find out what it is, because it is really bugging him. And I can understand perfectly fine, my legs itch so much sometimes I can’t sleep at night, so I feel his pain. I hope he gets better.

Strawberries and Wedding

19 Jun

I was waken up around 9am today by the little “monster” Frida Olette. She cam tubling down going “Mari?! MARI!” followed by “no e det frokost” (breakfast time) with her “r”‘s sounding like a television with white and black dots on the screen making that weird sound when it doesn’t work. Breakfast was good though, good bread with lots of good stuff to go with it. I had eggs. And salmon. Yum

Mom left right after breakfast for a party I think, and my brother, uncle and grandpa, along with FO went to the grocery store to find dinner for tonight. They are back now, but I still didn’t ask what dinner would be. We’ll soon find out!

While they were gone, I went for a walk with Miro-doggie, and only 100 m down the street I find the most delicious little berries on this whole planet. It’s my all time favorite eatable thing. Guess what it is! WILD NORWEGIAN STRAWBERRIES!! They are like normal  strawberries you can get from the store, but they are smaller, and sweeter. They are so sweet you don’t need any sugar or any vanilla or honey or milk or anything with it. So I stopped and I had some and we continued walking. Just a little while later, on the side of the road I spot some more of them. And with a second look I see there are TONS of them! Oh my gosh, I thought I was in heaven. My poor dog had to sit patiently and wait for me to pick and eat them all, I think he was really bored. There were a lot of weeds – the sticky ones too, and spider’s webs and bugs and it was wet and it started raining but I wasn’t leaving, those things are good. And then it started pouring and my dog was impatient so I left.

I just watched the wedding of Princess Victoria of Sweden and her fiancé Daniel. It was so gorgeous. First it was all the guests who came, and we saw all the dresses ^w^. And then the prince-to-be came and the crowd went crazy. And he came with the Princess’ brother, the Prince. And then, in the end, was Princess Victoria. Princess Victoria is a very down-to-earth, lovely, sweet, nice, girl and I didn’t really know who she was until recently I “got to know her” a little better, and that was only this week, and today really, and by her personality I’d think she’d have a simple and elegant dress, and so she had. She was beautiful. And she wore a crown (diadem) and she was so gorgeous. And when they said yes and all the time, Daniel was fighting his tears and when they repeated the Priest’s words they both cried. Even the Princess. I’m not sure which one of them who was most surprised that cried, but it was so beautiful and they really love each other and they look really cute and good together and I was all like aawww… ^^

The wedding is still going on, but it’s only the priest talking and choir singing so I don’t have to see it. I’m listening though, although I must admit Swedish is a little tricky to understand at times, despite the similarities to Norwegian.

Not surprisingly there are no pics out of the Princess of Sweden yet, but once there are I’ll post pictures of the lovely Princess Victoria.

It was so gorgeous. They had to word really hard to be wed though, because Daniel is not a royal person, he is from the commonwealth of Sweden and so the King didn’t really approve of the wedding at first, but he didn’t really have much of a choice, I bet that Princess Victoria would leave the royalty to marry the love of her life. They waited 9 years to marry, but it was well worth it.

May their love last forever…

No blogging

18 Jun

I’m at my grandparents today because it’s my grandfather’s birthday today so we are over celebrating, and Frida Olette is still here so it’s been.. intense. Which is why i haven’t bloggd much. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow when my brother can take care of her a little and there are no guests. Maybe I can even take pictures, for real tomorrow. With a camera, not just the web cam.
Other than that, Dexter is home with his family again and Miro has fallen in love with my grandfather’s legs.. And we forgot his food. Going to be here the whole weekend. We’ll have to buy him some. hopefully my uncle can take me out driving tomorrow, that should be fun. And I’ll blog. I hope.
So have it so long, I might be back later, when all the guests have gone home.

Cleaning, relaxing, DEXTER!

16 Jun

I am so going to spend the next hour of this day chilling out. I made dinner after my brother ( he only managed to make a very tiny little bit that would not feed all three of us) and I cleaned up after dinner, vacuumed downstairs as well as upstairs, with the help of Mads luckily, and now we are both tired and going to spend the rest of the evening relaxing, playing FB games, blogging and eating chips. We have to walk the dogs at some point today, but that can wait a little bit.
I managed to get a picture of Dexter a little while ago while he was sleeping on Mads’ lap:

Isn’t he adorable? We have fallen completely in love with him…

When my dog Miro starts barking outside, Dexter comes running barking like crazy without knowing what’s so interesting. It’s pretty funny.

So, those pics I promised of my dog(s) while out walking.. I don’t  have them. The reason: I couldn’t find the camera. And when I finally found it, the battery was flat. I don’t know where the charger is, and I don’t know where the extra battery my daddy claims we have is. Besides, the weather is typical Norwegian: rain. Which means Dexter, the tiny dog that isn’t really mine, won’t walk. So I had to carry him half the way anyway.
Anyway, here is a picture of my dog:

Name: Macmaster’s Mini Miro

Age: 6

Breed: Mini Schnauzer (he is a small one even for his breed, and he’s got way too much fur – normally)

More: Lovely sweet dog, quiet, “loner”, doesn’t like to be petted too much, “mommy’s dog”, likes to be outside in the yard and go for long walks, barks when the doorbell rings, runs after bikers. But generally a nice little fella without too much trouble.

Ha, sounds like I’m making a sale’s profile for him, but there is no way I’m selling him, he is very very dear to me, as you might see.

Since I have no picture of Dexter, I uploaded a pic of the neighbour dog instead;

She is the sweetest. 8 years old? Old lady, but so sweet. She walks loose, never ever leaves her property, even if you call on her as long as her leash is on the front porch. Very calm and quiet, pet her and you get a weird sense of .. calm.. serenity inside you. I know it sounds weird, but I’m not kidding. This is a special one. Doesn’t she look sweet already? Gotta look quite hard to find a sweeter doggie than this one.
