Dinner at grandparents’ house

31 Aug

So another day in school is over. Today was not too bad though, I am finally understanding math, history and philosophy is fun, and spanish.. well, not too fond. Thought it wasn’t all too difficult what we were doing today, as far as I remember. Anyway, after school, Mads and I took the bus home to his place and then fairly quickly after we arrived, we left for his grandparents’ house for dinner. Mince, a scottish dish (if I have the spelling wrong, please let me know), it’s really good. After dinner, we did homework, we were really good, when we sat down to do them, we did them until we were done, no fuss. And at the same time I annoyed the crap out of Mads with playing the soundtrack from Cirque du Soleil‘s KÁ. And, like at most grandparent’s houses, there was coffee and cakes a little later. At least that’s how it is in Norway. Haha, on the way over there I slept in the car with my mouth wide open. So graceful, I know.

And, I swear, I worked hard to get a camera with me, so I could take pics for this post, but my dad took our DSLR with him to his workplace on the other side of the country, and my mom’s camera was dead – with no charger. And mine, well I believe it’s dead, AND it has a full memory card. So, I asked Mads, and he had a DSLR too, but it was dead, with no charger too. I as going to just use his camera on his cell phone, but we then kinda forgot.. So yea.

Now I am just waiting around for Grey’s Anatomy to start, I am totally hooked. I cannot miss a single episode :P

And I think it’s airing soon, so I’ll be off!

Oh and I also forgot my login to weheartit.com. Isn’t that just great? -.-

Little kids, good food, and cameras that doesn’t work…

My dear little cousin Frida Olette and my aunt Eva came over this morning! Which explains the no blogging, because FO needs attention all the time. She is four years old and extremely full of energy. She’s a great deal of fun though, and we ran around outside playing tag and her new invented games, we drew a little bit, and we painted our nails. Pink and orange, lovely. And then Mads and I were both tired. So my mother decided to save us and her and my aunt and FO all went down to the beach to find seashells and Mads and I stayed home making Deviled Eggs. Yum!

Even Mads liked it!

And then we realized we were hungry and made mashed potatoes. I took a picture of it, but  of course there had to be something wrong – there was no mem card in the camera. Great. I really need to either find my own, or charge daddy’s DSLR. I might actually do that.

I’ll post more pics later, once my aunt puts them on my computer.

Currently my aunt mother and cousin are all decorating a log they found with seashells and tiny beach crabs and Mads is almost falling asleep behind me. Dinner will be later tonight, chicken fajita with cheese. Yum again!

So, those pics I promised of my dog(s) while out walking.. I don’t  have them. The reason: I couldn’t find the camera. And when I finally found it, the battery was flat. I don’t know where the charger is, and I don’t know where the extra battery my daddy claims we have is. Besides, the weather is typical Norwegian: rain. Which means Dexter, the tiny dog that isn’t really mine, won’t walk. So I had to carry him half the way anyway.
Anyway, here is a picture of my dog:

Name: Macmaster’s Mini Miro

Age: 6

Breed: Mini Schnauzer (he is a small one even for his breed, and he’s got way too much fur – normally)

More: Lovely sweet dog, quiet, “loner”, doesn’t like to be petted too much, “mommy’s dog”, likes to be outside in the yard and go for long walks, barks when the doorbell rings, runs after bikers. But generally a nice little fella without too much trouble.

Ha, sounds like I’m making a sale’s profile for him, but there is no way I’m selling him, he is very very dear to me, as you might see.

Since I have no picture of Dexter, I uploaded a pic of the neighbour dog instead;

She is the sweetest. 8 years old? Old lady, but so sweet. She walks loose, never ever leaves her property, even if you call on her as long as her leash is on the front porch. Very calm and quiet, pet her and you get a weird sense of .. calm.. serenity inside you. I know it sounds weird, but I’m not kidding. This is a special one. Doesn’t she look sweet already? Gotta look quite hard to find a sweeter doggie than this one.
